Question '97 EX V6 Distributor Oil Seal

Does anyone remember me starting a thread about 4 years ago regarding my distributor leaking oil? I had a few candidate oil seals but none of them had the correct lip design and would leak after a few days. Someone suggested a Honda part from a newer Accord. My C27A4 has the same rotation as the K series, and I remember the seal suggested was for a K series but not for a distributor (since they don't have one) which also makes my search extremely difficult.

Any help is appreciated.

The only person I still communicate with is Macda. Everyone else is still cool, sorry I haven't kept in touch. I got heavy into cycling. Really, I only drive when I get my kids, the rest of the time I bike everywhere.

Can't really help since I don't have a v6. But it's good to see your still around. Whenever I get my accord up and running we should have a jax meet for all time sake

Okay, I don't remember what Accord model shared the Counter Clock Wise (CCW) Oil Seal with my Hitachi Distributor, but I did find an Nissan Altima owners site which detailed the replacement of their Distributor Oil Seal and it just so happens the Nissan Altima uses a Hitachi Distributor and Hitachi continued using the same diameter rotor shafts through the 1990s and 2000s AND the Altima Distributor is CCW which appears to indicate they also use the same* Oil Seal. *I'm reserving judgements until I have one in my hand to verify it's the correct seal. At this point, I can only say they both have the same dimensions and both are for CCW rotating shafts. I can't find anything on the lip design, so I'm not posting any part numbers just yet; my original Aria seal is an SD type.

I'm down for an Accord meet! I'll look for the Accord Driver's page on Facebook.

Nissan P/N B2131-01M00 is the same exact Oil Seal found on my Hitachi distributor from the factory:

Manufacturer: Aria
Marking: "Ars"
Size: 12.45 22 6
Rotation: Counter Clockwise
Lip design: SD with roation specific grooving

I just replaced the seal the other night. In a month, I'll go back and see if it's leaking. The Nissan sourced Aria (Ars) 12.45 x 22 x 6 lip (SD, grooved, CCW) looked the similar to the KOK brand 12 x 22 x 7 mm seal lip (also SD, grooved, CCW) except the Aria seal has a much tighter groove pattern. I hope this makes te difference. If this doesn't stop the leaking, I'm getting a new shaft since the one I have does have some wear marks; which is expected at 304000 miles.
